With its true twin shape and forgiving flex, the DC Focus Snowboard is an exceptional board for both beginners and riders looking to take their skills to the next level. Lightweight Astro Core construction keeps the board lightweight yet strong and is ideal for learning to throw spins and grabs without worry of board break. Featuring DC's Anti-Camber, the Focus Snowboard offers a fun and forgiving ride for shedders of all skill sets.
Rocker Type
Anti-Camber - Anti-Camber boards are flat between your stance and curved away from the snow outside the stance. DC adjusts the length of the flat spot and the amount of Anti-Camber to determine how the board will perform. A long flat spot is fast and stable, while a shorter flat spot is more maneuverable. Likewise, less Anti-Camber translates to more power and drive, while more Anti-Camber makes the board more playful and forgiving.
Flex
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A jibby flex is great for park rats, or for beginners learning how to charge.
Core
Astro Core - A space age composite core reinforced with wood that is designed for optimal freestyle performance
Laminates
Bi-ax Glass - Two directions of glass fibers woven tightly together for a forgiving and torsionally flexible ride; this gives you a loose and buttery ride.
Base
True Base - Fast, durable and easy to maintain
Edges
3° Bevel - By taking 3˚ of angle off the traditional 90˚ edge, advantage is gained for beginners, who get a forgiving and catch free ride, as well as for expert riders looking for a board that's jib ready right out of the wrapper.
Binding Compatibility
2x4 Disc pattern

Specs

  • Terrain: Freeride
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
