Designed with a rockered nose, flat tail and a tapered tail the CAPiTA Charlie Slasher Snowboard is the ultimate pow slashing machine. With the RFC Sustainable Touring Core you can split this board down the center to make one gnarly splitboard without losing the strength and water-resistance of a normal snowboard. Hack at nasty pillow lines in the slack-country or break this board in two and take it to the deep backcountry couloirs and summits. Whatever you do, we don't care, just have fun!
Pow FK – Mono reverse camber FK for powder allows your nose to float above the snowline, while retaining power throughout the tail to stomp landings and slash the hell out of everything.
Flat Kick Technology – With Flat Kick design technology CAPiTA has tightened the profile radius that blends the shoulders of the board into the tip and tail height. This is a key area that influences the tempo and feel of turn initiation. With traditional larger tip and tail arcs, the loaded camber contributes to a board's acceleration into a turn. On reverse camber boards the contact points are elevated, removing this camber contribution. As a result, the same traditional tip and tail radii would make the board feel sluggish. Specialized Flat Kick tip and tail arcs combined with elevated reverse camber contact points achieve the ideal tempo into turns. This allows you to have the shorter effective edge of a forgiving, easy to ride, reverse camber snowboard that is still responsive and quick during edge-to-edge transitions.
6 Flex – Stiff enough to float through the pow and engage tough turns, but soft enough to be playful when you need it.
Tapered Tail – 20 mm of taper in the tail sinks the tail in deep snow and allows the nose to float. It's proven to reduce tomahawks by 38%.
Radical Taper – Engineered specifically for deep powder riding, this radial sidecut is complemented by a tapered tail. This narrower tail section naturally sinks in the powder while the wider nose section floats above the snow line. The result is less work and more fun as the board surfs on one smooth continual arc.

RFC Sustainable Touring Core – The all new RFC Sustainable Touring Core takes the DNA of a Charlie Slasher and adds a doublewide ABS sidewall down the centerline. This allows you the versatility to keep your Charlie intact as a powder machine, or to split it down the middle into a touring set without risking water damage to the core.
Custom Weave – The CUSTOM WEAVE configuration features a resin/glass application borrowed from the marine industry, which yields much stronger and rigid qualities allowing the board to have decreased wood core thickness. The main focus is to save wood core weight by increasing resin performance. The biaxial/triaxial fiberglass combination creates more response while increasing strength and durability.
Die cut sidewalls
Wax Infused Rotation Sintered Base – Created by taking pellets of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene and compressing them with heat and pressure.Translation, the "pores" of the board love wax and if properly maintained create an extremely fast, durable and consistent board.

Stage III Atlas Base – This base is made of Dupont™ Zytel® ST and is guaranteed against breakage with a lifetime warranty
Carbon-Injected Dupont™ Zytel® ST – The highest-quality nylon, used on all Union baseplates, results in strength, safety, security and the confidence of a lifetime warranty.
Injected EVA Bushings – The bushings dampen underfoot vibrations to promote a more comfortable ride and a smooth, even board flex with no dead spots.
Full Carbon Highbacks – Durable and responsive highbacks made fully from carbon offer the best in control.
Shift-on-the-Fly Forward Lean – Quick and easy to use, adjust the forward lean with a simple flip of a knob then slide it to wherever you want and re-lock it. Easily done while waiting in those pesky lift lines.
All-New 3D Direct-Connect Strap System – Multi-Layer Tapered Strap Core evenly distributes pressure.
Multi-Layered Tapered Strap Core
Magnesium Buckles – The magnesium in the buckles is four times the strength of aluminum with only half the weight. Plus, it is easily recycled.
All-New Toe Buckle System – Multi-positional options with open Ultra Grip™ Design
All-New Open Toe Straps – Multi-positional options with open Ultra Grip™ Design
All-New Toe Cup Design – Holds better to your boots for consistent control and also moves vertically for multiple boot-to-strap positions.
All-New CNC Machined 3D Aluminum Heelcups – The absolute lightest and strongest in snowboarding, these are made by a process that removes material to reduce weight but maintain strength.
Universal Disks – Compatible with any traditional 4x4 mounting system and 3-hole board patterns. Channel Compatible Discs are available separately from Union to fit Burton snowboards with The Channel.
Grade 8.8 Hardware – The most commonly used hardware is made from "mild steel" that has a property class of only 4.6. Considering how much stress a binding goes through, Union uses only the highest-strength steel, with a property class of 8.8.
