So your child wants to learn to snowboard, but you can't seem to figure out what kind of board to get for the little one. Look no further than the Burton Chopper Star Wars Snowboard; with the softest flex possible and a slightly convex base to make the board super forgiving, the Chopper Star Wars Snowboard makes it fun and easy for even the smallest riders. Plus, what child doesn't love Star Wars? Before you know it, it'll be him leading the charge and you'll be the one struggling to keep up.
Rocker Type
Flat Top - A flat profile between the feet means stability, better balance and continuous edge control. The tip and tail kick up with an early rise outside of the feet for the catch-free and loose feeling you’d expect from rocker.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Very Stiff) - 1, A soft flex for easy turn initiation and forgiving landings
Shape
Twin - The shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that's equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.
Core
Fly® Core - Burton's classic tip to tail wood core, constantly improved upon in terms of flex, feel, pop and strength.
Laminates
Biax™ Fiberglass - Features a jib-friendly, torsion ally soft flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel.
Base
Extruded Base - Speed, strength and graphical pop in a base that requires little maintenance - pass your friends without even waxing.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Flat/Rocker
    Rocker/Flat/Rocker
Rocker/Flat/Rocker is another variation on the rocker theme that seeks to provide a little more hard snow edgehold and pop than full rocker while retaining ease of turning and float. Performance is between a fully rockered board and a flat board.
  • Flex Rating: Soft
    Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
