Wondering what kind of board to get for the little tyke who is just learning the ropes of snowboarding? Look no further than the Burton Chopper Snowboard, with the softest flex possible and a slightly convex base to make the board super forgiving. The Chopper makes it fun for even the smallest of riders to master balance and board control. Before you know it, he'll be leading the charge and you'll be struggling to keep up.
Rocker Type
Flat Top - Rising rider or seasoned pro, keep your game on the level with the NEW Flat Top. A flat profile between the feet means stability, better balance, and continuous edge control. The tip and tail kick up with an early rise outside the feet for the catch-free and loose feeling you’d expect from rocker.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 3 Stiff) - 1 out of 3 on Burton's Kids' flex scale means a soft and forgiving ride that's ideal for learning.
Twin - The flex is perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail for a balanced ride that's equally versatile regular or switch.
Shape
Easy Rider - A slightly convex base shape combined with soft flex and an aggressive edge bevel for catch-free easy learning
Sidecut
Twin - It's perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability.
Core
Fly® Core - Burton's classic tip to tail wood core, constantly improved upon in terms of flex, feel, pop, and strength
Laminates
Biax™ Fiberglass - Features a jib-friendly, low-torsional flex and forgiving, park-friendly feel
Base
Extruded Base - Durable and low maintenance; 40% recycled content
Additional Features
Double Chair Package - Burton begins where many other companies consider the top of the line. A great place to start, you'll be riding the same boards as some of the best riders out there.

Comments about Burton Chopper Snowboard - Kid's 2013:

I'm using the Riglet with an 80cm Chopper to introduce my 18 month old to riding. Right now we're pulling him around the house a few minutes at a time when we can get him to stand still long enough.

We've tried it on the snow and it works great. But with such a young child, it feels easier to practice indoors for the time being.

In any case, it's well made and well designed.

Comments about Burton Chopper Snowboard - Kid's 2013:

I bought this board as a first snowboard for my 9 year old son. He loved the design of the board and carved down his first green trail with it. It has a nice lightweight feel to it and was easy for him to turn.
