Returning for 2014, the award-winning Blizzard Cochise Skis are one of the best "one ski quivers" on the market. The rocker/flat/rocker profile with Flipcore Technology is the key. Rocker in the tip and tail provides easy turn initiation and powder performance, while the flat midsection enables incredibly smooth edge to edge transitions and carving on hardpack. All of this is enabled by Blizzard's unique flipcore technology, in which traditional cambered cores have been flipped for a more natural rocker molding process. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm. Powder These skis are for the deep days. If you like to find powder stashes at your local resort, go on backcountry missions for the freshest of fresh or heli ski trips to BC, powder skis are what you need to stay afloat. Skis in the powder category are wide and most often have some form of rocker or early rise plus a relatively soft flex. Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow.

Salomon STH2 13 Ski Bindings 2014
New for 2014, the Salomon STH2 13 takes the place of both the STH Driver 12 and 14 in the lineup. Incorporating a number of changes designed to improve leverage and power transmission, especially with wider skis, the STH2 13 features longer toe arms, a 3D Driver toe pivot like its predecessor, and a wide platform heel taken from the Guardian AT binding. If you've grown accustomed to the bomber performance of the STH Driver bindings, get ready for even more of the same from the STH2. Note: Mounting pattern is different from the old model STH, and brakes are not swappable between these models. Compatible with all ISO Alpine soles and all Salomon WTR sole blocks.

XL Stomp Pedal – A fixed, wide pedal under your boot gives you optimal power transmission.
Wide Platform – A 73 mm wide platform under the toepiece ensures maximum power transfer with wide skis.

Heel Flex Interface – This feature allows your ski to flex naturally underfoot while keeping you and your bindings connected.
Additional Features
Low Profile Chassis – A low stand height of only 18 mm keeps you close to the ski for improved snow feel.
Progressive Transfer Pads – Pads under the binding base enhance feel and increase dampening.
Freeski Brakes – The new design features enhanced deployment for wide skis and a new mounting system without the traditional metal tabs and no screws. Freeski brakes are not compatible with older STH heels.
WTR Technology – This binding is compatible with all ISO Alpine soles and Salomon WTR (Walk-to-Ride) touring and tech soles.
