This is a great lock to use, provides you with the feeling of security while you grab a bite to eat or just need to take a break.

I also don't have the feeling I will accidentally change the combination and locking it up without knowing the combo.

The lock can slide right into your pocket and you won't even realize it is there.

What's nice about this small cable lock is it's very convenient on the hill. You can quickly lock a few boards together.

I've actually used it to lock up my backpack for a short period of time, so it def has multiple uses.

But remember the cable wire is thin and I'm sure could be broken into, so I wouldn't use it over night or anything, it's just a temporary quick way to lock your things up.

We bought this lock for a recent trip through Europe. It tied the handles of our cases to the luggage racks in trains. The lock is lightweight and does the job as a deterrant. This will not stop a determined theif.

This product is great for deterring thieves from walking away with your board. Though it may seem like you can just break the lock or use wire cutters to open the line, all these steps to steal a board or skis requires a very determined thief. Most board/ski nappings are probably opportunistic and may be due to equipment carelessly laid in the racks without a lock.

Opportunistic thieves probably aren't regulars on mountains, so if you frequent a mountain and fear the theft of your expensive equipment from other regulars, its best to check it in. Chances are, a regular on a mountain that is a thief is probably prepared to nab your board/ski with various tools that no kind of lock is invulnerable to.

Bottom line: This lock is good for deterring opportunistic thieves. Its quick in quick out for those bathroom breaks or snack times. Any time spent beyond a short period would probably warrant a check-in thats basically the gold standard of security.

Used it for our boards. We also tried using it as a bike lock because we forgot ours. It's easy to use no problems.
