Letters from Bryce - 2006/7

December 14, 2006

It's crazy to step back and think about this company and where it was not much longer than a year ago. Of course I said that last year and the year before but over the past 14 months, we have truly reinvented our business and built it in a way that will allow us to grow with a solid foundation for years to come. In the last year we opened our flagship store, launched our new ecommerce site as well as evoseattle.com, built / implemented all new technological infrastructure, sold a lot more clothing and gear and had a ton of fun along the way. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want anyone here at evo to have to go through such a crazy year again but I can say with confidence that we are all learned a ton and that the business has never been stronger.

There is so much to write about but at end of the day, I am most excited about one major accomplishment here at evo. Even with all of the changes and growth, we haven't slipped a bit in maintaining the culture that was established back when evo was a two person company. If anything, the bonds between those who work here and the focus on a life of balanced ambition is stronger than ever. When I say balanced ambition, I'm referring to the way those who sign on to work at evo approach their career and contributions to the company in relation to everything else that they enjoy. evo is now a team of 45 intelligent, ambitious, engaged, active individuals. Whether it be in your travels, here in the NW on the mountain, out in the city or in our online photo galleries, you'll see evo team members getting after it wherever they go.

We all know that we still have a ton to learn and there is always a better way to do things. We strive to build the strongest relationships with people we encounter from business partners to customers and everyone in between. We still have a long way to go as we discover new ways to creatively exceed expectations everyday. And as we charge forward into new territory, we want to thank you for your patience and understanding for those times that we experience the inevitable growing pains.

For those who have followed our business over the years, new customers and anyone reading this, I want to thank you for your support. When you shop with us, sell to us and work with us, you are helping support a unique company full of great people and big goals. Here's to another epic year.

Cheers,

bp
