    Comments about Arc'teryx Sabre SV Jacket:

    I just got this jacket and couldn't be much happier. It's got a slightly soft and stretchy feel that you wouldn't expect from a 3L Gore-tex jacket with all the standard Arc-teryx tech features. It's still classified as a hardshell, but the material is much nicer to the touch than the Gore ProShell jackets I've tried on. It has an incredible fit (runs a tad big, so a M is plenty roomy for my 5'10" 165, and could wear a S if I wanted a slimmer fit), moves extremely well, breathes, and has a nice big mountain, sidecountry style rather than the alpine/ice-climber style I have seen from these guys in the past. Super comfortable. About the only complaint I could have is that it only has a few (though well-placed) pockets and the powder skirt is fixed rather than removable. That said, I love the simplicity and those are features that I've rarely used in bulky jackets past.
