The Arc'teryx Beta AR Jacket is the most versatile waterproof / breathable jacket in the Arc'teryx line. Using a softer and more breathable GORE-TEX® Pro fabric for 2014, this jacket provides light and supple 40D fabric through the main body, and is reinforced in high wear areas with more durable 80D fabrics. Throw in some WaterTight™ zippers, an internal laminated pocket, and a fully-functioning DropHood™, and you get one jacket that can really do it all, no matter how harsh the conditions.

N40r-X GORE-TEX® Pro Fabric – This face fabric features an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. Its carefully selected yarns and dense construction limit fiber breakage under abrasion providing long lasting snow and water shedding capabilities.
N80p-X GORE-TEX® Pro Fabric – This fabric offers an exceptionally durable plain weave nylon face with high resistance to abrasion. Dense construction minimizes the exposure of yarns to abrasive contact, reducing damage to filaments and maintaining surface integrity. A durable micro-grid woven backer reduces weight and is also highly abrasion resistant. DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish.
Waterproof & Breathable Membrane
GORE-TEX – Guaranteed to Keep You Dry. The GORE-TEX membrane is an extremely thin layer of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). It has over 9 billion pores per square inch, large enough to let water vapor exit but small enough to prevent liquid water from entering.

Athletic Fit – These complex patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion and eliminate excess bulk.
e3D – Ergonomic 3-Dimensional patterning brings an additional level of articulation to provide an enhanced range of motion. This provides extra gusseting and/or articulation in key joint areas.
