When its about that time to take a break from resort groomers, take a trip to your happy place on the Yes. The 420 Snowboard. The 420 is short, wide and potent with features that will have you surfing the pow like never before. Utilizing volume distribution, this compact pow stick gets its' float and stability from its exaggerated width, a little taper, and a custom crafted rocker designed to stay above the deepest snow. The result, quality over quantity. What the board lacks in length it makes up for by being really fast, loose and agile, with an amazing ability to surf pow.
Directional Nose Blend – 4 mm rocker blending to flat, 2 mm rocker in the tail. Flat rocker with longer, more directional nose rocker. Nose rocker is pulled further towards the front foot for increased flotation and the ability to get onto pow-covered features.
Directional Wide / Tapered – Powder is all about speed and flotation. Displacement of a board's volume and its ability to float in deep snow is affected by more than just length and a set-back stance. With the 420 Yes was able to get the stability and float normally associated with much longer boards by simply punching out the waist width, applying a moderate amount of taper and spending time refining the base profile. By keeping the stance almost centered on the effective edge and not overdoing it with the taper, the board will still hold an edge and ride well on hardpack.
Core 6 – Lightweight mix of 50/50 poplar and paulownia
Triax – Triax laminate consists of fiberglass that is braided in three directions. Meaning it gives the snowboard an asymmetrical flex with lengthwise stiffness. For you, this delivers a snowboard that has tons of pitch when jumping.
Biax – Biax laminate consists of fiberglass that is braided in two directions. The fibers are braided vertically at 90 degrees. This ensures a torsional flex that is more evenly distributed throughout the snowboard. For you, this translates to a snowboard that is easy to handle and jib friendly.
