The Moment Belafonte Skis are the youngest of Moment’s original freeride competition skis, with terrain-dominating Front Rocker, vertical sidewalls, and a stout heart of ash and aspen underfoot. Lighter and more agile than a pure comp design, the Belafonte is easier to manage on a daily basis, but it is still a powerful, stable ski best suited for hard-charging experts.
Front Rocker: for the directional charger, nothing beats Front Rocker. Traditional camber from the binding to the tail provides edging power and high-speed stability, while the rockered tip aids turn initiation, blasts through crud, and planes quickly in powder.
Early taper for a catch-free, nimble feel
Flex rating of 7 out of 10 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Moment uses Aspen/Ash wood core on skis that need to be able to withstand a beating. Ash provides amazing binding retention, strength and dampening; Aspen adds durability and reduces weight to the core.
Fiberglass Matrix fine-tunes the flex profile of the ski.
Carbon Fiber stringers provide more pop and snap and are extremely strong and lightweight.
23m @ 174cm, 25.7m @ 182cm, 27.4m @ 187cm, 29.2m @ 192cm, 135/106/124 (all sizes)
Vertical UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Sidewalls are extremely light, durable, and resistant to separation.
1.2mm Durasurf 4001 Sintered base can take a beating while staying fast. They are US-made, harder and have better wax absorption than extruded bases. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases.
2.2mm Rockwell 48 Steel Edge for more strength and durability
VDS Dampening System is placed over the edges and in several other key locations to mellow any harsh vibrations.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
