Volkl PRL Skis - Women's 2012: Ski like a pro, or at least have as much fun as the pros with the Volkl Pearl Skis. The choice of Volkl team rider Grete Eliassen, the Volkl Pearl Skis are all-purpose, symmetrical twin tips that are strong enough for pro riders, yet fun to ski on the whole mountain.
Tip & Tail Rocker has a slight rocker in the tip and tail, combined with a classic camber profile under the foot, creating the ideal blend for frontside carving. Easy, smooth turn entry and exit, with acceleration and rebound as well. While not as maneuverable in soft snow as full rocker designs, this rocker design is best utilized on hard snow or in the park and pipe.
Symmetrical Sidecut allows the park and pipe rider the best possible performance by allowing a center-mounted ski to perform the same while riding switch or forward. It also allows completely even balance for rail slides.
Tough Box construction features a Multi-Layer wood core wrapped with a Composite/Fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for freeskiing models. Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention.
Multi-Layer Wood Light Core has two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, Ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is Poplar. The more dense wood creates secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern can be tailored to each ski model to match the desired performance characteristics.
Sensorwood Light Core is CNC milled using vertically laminated wood.
13.3m @ 148cm, 15m @ 155cm, 16.9m @ 162cm, 18.8cm @ 169cm, 111/84/111 (all sizes)
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
