Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket - Women's 2012: Hiking for cold smoke in the Wasatch in January means fiery uptracks, arctic transitions and ski-by-Braille powder. Keep your inner climate balanced through it all with the Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket. It combines a breathable H2No® polyester shell fabric to vent moisture with insulation that stays warm when wet to keep you snug and mobile. The shell has a Deluge® DWR finish and tough 2-layer waterproof/breathable panels on the shoulders, elbows and hem to prevent wet-through and protect from abrasion. Compressible Thermogreen® polyester insulation (90% recycled) guards precious heat. The removable hood has a quick, easy single-hand adjustment. In other words, the Patagonia Rubicon Rider Jacket is perfect for whatever you throw at it.

    I was looking for a down jacket that I could wear casually, skiing and to work. This jacket was perfect. It's super warm and also fairly water resistant, has a great length (I often find down jackets to be a bit too short, especially for wearing to work) and has great features like a removable hood, removable powder skirt and tons of pockets. It's very sturdy without being bulky.
