Outdoor Research Stormbound Jacket

Snow dumping, wind howling, fresh-lines having days were what Outdoor Research had in mind when it developed the Outdoor Research Stormbound Jacket. The waterproof and breathable Pertex outer, cozy down insulation, and taped seams keep out the weather and capture your hard-earned body heat. A helmet-compatible hood, zip out balaclava, and elastic powder skirt seal out flying snow. The Outdoor Research Stormbound Jacket also features double-sliding pit zips that open up to let you vent excess warmth when the sun finally appears.

650+ fill down insulation in hood and body; EnduraLoft insulation below powder skirt.

    I bought this jacket for a warm winter jacket and for use on the hill on those cold days on the chairlift. I have had the jacket for a month and I have been really impressed. The jacket is very warm (and i tend to get cold easy) and doesn't look puffy at all.
    I have had this jacket on the BC west coast in wet snow and it handled the water no problem... And it was seriously wet!
    I have been on the ski hill in -12 C not including the wind chill that was blowing and stayed super warm with just a long underwear shirt
    The jacket fits nicely, the zippers are smooth, the balaclava feature is nice and will be put to use.
