I brought this along with an old North Face jacket that I have worn for years 2 annual trip out to Utah this winter. I wore this jacket the first day just a test it out. it performed flawlessly I went back to my other green and black North Face the following day just for old time sake. l this jacket doesn't have pit zips, I was sufficiently vented by pulling down the zipper. my friends were yelling at me because I wasnt wearing the orange jacket that was so easy to find. I'm 6 foot 8 and the xl jacket fit me fine, hood size is exceptional for over a helmet. I'll still hold on to that North Face jacket for the severe powder days but this things going to be an every day rider going forward I love this jacket

I originally bought bought this jacket a couple of months ago because it was on clearance and I thought it would be good winter work jacket at the mine I work at. However i liked the jacket so much that I bought a second jacket to wear at home when I was off-work. Very happy with the jacket.

This jacket is very warm given the insulation. Not to be worn when temperatures are above 20 degrees F in my opinion.

I use it as a daily wear. It is quite lightweighted and warm. It is really wind stopper. Recommended

I wanted to try this Arcteryx insulated jacket instead of having to use so many layers on the really cold ski/snowboard at Schweitzer. I already have an Arcteryx Gore-Tex Pro shell. All I need with this jacket is a descent base layer. The Coreloft insulation really keeps you warm w/little bulk. The Windstopper outer layer repels rain and snow well on all but the wettest days. The hoody is large enough to fit over a helmet and gets in the way otherwise. It needs to be removable. Quality materials and construction I have come to expect from Arcteryx. Please make removable hoody or jacket w/out hoody.

The kappa hoodie saved my but. My waterproof jaket failed me so I put this on while skiing in ak. Not ideal because of no pit vents or powder skirt but worked perfectly. I stayed warm in -3f at the cabin being dragged behind a snowmachine on the lake. Never felt the wind once. We got caught in overflowI did not get wet very impressed. Only downside is evo has expensive shipping to ak. Loved the jacket im 6'2" 200lbs and I went xxl. I like looser fitting iteams.

I am 5'10" but have a wingspan of 6'1" meaning I usually need an xl to fit my arms. Not with this coat... the long arms were a blessing without adding to a bunch of bulk around my chest. Although the coat does run below my waist, it doesn't feel like a large coat. The fit and fisish are fantastic - to be expected. Haven't been able to truly 'test'the coat... just need winter to show up.
