Red Hi-Fi MIPS Helmet

A key player in the front side series, built with Red's most progressive freestyle oriented design, the Red Hi-Fi MIPS Helmet is ready for all the abuse that can be dished out by hard charging riders who are aimed at pushing their limits. Featuring MIPS technology for ultimate protection and industry leading comfort features, this helmet is a for sure winner.
Construction
MIPS Technology - The secret behind the MIPS™ technology patent comes from the human brain, which is surrounded by a low friction cushion of cerebrospinal fluid. MIPS™ imitates the brain’s low friction layer between the shell and the liner, to absorb energy created by an angled blow to the head. The combination of the brain’s own protection and MIPS™ provides improved protection.
Ultra lightweight in-molded polycarbonate shell
Ventilation
Airvanced Ventilation™ - An adjustable airflow venting system that allows the rider to control the helmet's climate
Adjustability
Airband Fit System - Air fit for the head. This air-fueled headband contours to your head or beanie for a perfect fit. Subtle molding control is achieved using the Air Band™ pump-button and release valve. The fleece-lined Air Band™ is independent of the Quick Clip removable ear pads, providing true customizable comfort.
Quick Clip™ - Earpads simply snap in place; pads add warmth and easily convert for multi-season use.
Additional Features
REDphones Technology - Allows you to slide a pair of RED modular drivers (speakers, sold separately) in the ear pad area to create a secure and fully integrated audio system
Safety Standards
ASTM 2040 / CE 1077B Certified for your protection

Comments about Red Hi-Fi MIPS Helmet:

I haven't gotten a chanse to use this yet, but it looks awesome.
My only comment/ complaint is that im in between a Large and an Extra Large and I've tried both sizes on RED products and the Large is very snug on my head while Extra Large is pretty loose (there's room for helmet to wiggle around). So I decided that its probably better to have something that conforms to the head more tightly than loosely thus went with the Large. EVO is of no fault here, its just how they are made.

Other things that's cool is you can put earphones into the ear flap part, there's a zipper that you can undo.

Something I didn't know these helmets had was a little pump in the back of the helmet that you can pump and decrease the amount of free space left inside the helmet. Its very convenient. Although with my helmet being tight already that wont necessarily be needed.
Another note is when I tried the XL version of the helmet I used the pump to see if I could fit the XL better, but it still felt weird. So again, went with a snug Large vs the sortove loose XL.
