I bought this helmet for 4 reasons. It came in orange, it came in an XL size, the price was very competitive, and it was conservatively styled. I really don't like some helmets that look they they were made for a Japanese manga art character. This skate inspired helmet has simple classic styling.

The XL size work out well for my giant squash. And the orange color looks good with my skis/boots/poles. But the great thing about this helmet is that Protec makes it in a wide range of colors and sizes.

It's not one of the current "in-mold" designs with a thin polycarbonate shell. It's the older technology with a relatively thick ABS plastic shell that just feels more substantial to me.

I'm happy with the fit, looks, warmth, ventilation, and quality. It's a great helmet at the price unless you're looking for that Speed Racer manga art look.

Solid helmet, exactly what I was looking for. Don't even notice you're wearing it. Put a thin beanie on underneath and you're good to go.

Great helmet, use it every time I go. Very comfortable, just as good as my K2 helmet: only problem is that this Pro Tec isn't as warm. Because it's supposed to be multi-use for skateboarding and bmx biking, it doesn't have the warm inside liner for snow use that other helmets like my K2 have. Needs a helmet liner, especially for the cold and windy days up on the mountain. Otherwise, comfortable, versatile, very nice.
