Comments about POC Receptor Bug Communication Audio Helmet:

I am a snowboarder of many years and am very picky with my gear. I did my homework on buying a helmet online but am 3 hours from the nearest store so unfortunately did not have the luxury of trying anything on in person. I went with this lid for the stylish look, high end audio and also the reviews I have read online.
Once I received the lid first thing I noticed was how comfy it was. It fits your head well and you feel well protected. Once I tried to hook up music I could not get the audio controls to work. I tried with a Galaxy s3, s4, s5, note 2 and note 3. None of those phones were compatible with the controls on the wire. You could not control the volume. I then hooked up an ipod nano and no controls at all worked. I called POC direct because I figured it was a defect. I exchanged the lid with only the same result.
On top of that I tried on googles with the 2nd helmet and it was a deal breaker. The helmet sat to low on my forehead and the goggles would feel like they are pushing down into your nose and mouth. I tried it with 3 different goggles...all with the same results. NOT COMFORTABLE AT ALL!
With that said, my wife has an Iphone and the controls were compatible with it. Everything worked as described.
My advise is that you definitely try this helmet on in person and make sure to bring your goggles and audio device to ensure a solid fit.

Comments about POC Receptor Bug Communication Audio Helmet:

This is the best purchase of my season. The white helmet was my choice but you can't go wrong with either one. Fits like a glove and allows you to access both your music and incoming/outgoing calls. MUST HAVE. Go DRE! Go POC
