    Comments about Giro Combyn Helmet:

Don't really understand the 5 star reviews on this think. After using it a few days here is my review. First off let me describe myself. I am an expert skier that goes all over the mountain in all conditions. What led me to this helmet was the durabillty factor that it could take multiple impacts and still be functional. I also bought into the "low profile" in the description, The sleeker the better for me. Here is what I hate about this helmet. It's not all that sleek, but I can live with that. 1) This thing is COLD. For some reason my forehead frozr on a semi windy 20 degree day. I had to pull out my balaclava just to deal with my brain freeze. 2)The earcovers fit loose in front. There is a big gap in that lets in tons of wind. And since I use tune ups to listen to music, it's impossible to enjoy the tunes with all the wind buffeting. 3) It's uncomfortable, the helmet is shaped flat on top and I can feel the flat spot pushing on the top of my head. 4) The final straw however is the goggle retainer in back. Its removable which might be cool for some I guess, but for me I use it, and the way it's attached- at the very bottom of the helmet, makes it catch on the back collar of my parka when I turn my head, Very distracting. I've owned and loved many Giro helmets in the past, but this one sucks. .

      Comments about Giro Combyn Helmet:

Good for narrow head, fits snug. Couldn't fit the skull-candy system in the ear pads as would hurt my ears. Otherwise awesome helmet. And nice in combination with other goggles.

        Comments about Giro Combyn Helmet:

This helmet is awesome. It's durable lightweight and very stylish. I would recommend this helmet to anyone who wants to protect their head while snowboarding. This helmet can be worn in any conditions. The padding on the inside is really comfortable and a medium fits my head snug, but not too tight.
