I already owned a pair of Canopy - Freedom Plaid Neon Fire/Black Iridium before buying these.

I bought the second pair for a few reasons:
- Backup in case my I lose first pair. you never know when it can get stolen or lost
- For giving to friends when they forget theirs

The lens have quite a few advantages:
- Huge Field of Vision. Hardly blocks any angles
- Lens does not distort the image at all. I have problems with a lot of lenses and usually get a headache pretty easily after wearing glasses for a few hours. I could wear these for a whole day with no issues at all
- They work as over the glasses. I don't wear glasses myself, but i've lent this to a friend and he was amazed how comfortable they were
- Very comfortable. I forget I have them on! I have a very wide nose and narrow head, and they fit like a glove with no breathing issues or fogging issues or pressure points.
- Also because they cover so much of your face, they provide extra comfort to your skin in colder temperatures
- Helmet compatible, and they fit great even with brim helmets.

Disadvantages?:
- Some friends say they are too big, but it's a matter of perspective and taste, as I love them
- The big air vents became a problem when going up hill in an open old ski-lift with cold wind blowing at you directly. I had to cover the vents up with my glove to prevent my face from freezing off. On the plus side, this was a weather so bad that most would not take this chairlift. I love the big vents tho to keep them from fogging up
- Lens are not THAT easy to switch. As this is one of the first high-end goggles that I bought, I was expecting easier swap, but who cares, they worked in the evening as well even with the dark lens. I might get a lighter or clear lens for the night in the future, but will use two different frames.

I purchased the black frame with fire iridium lenses. Also purchased persimmon lenses from Oakley. I swapped out lenses to go night skiing, and every point snapped in except the top-middle section. I removed the persimmons to switch with original lenses (fire iridium) and same problem, the top-middle section will not snap in. I went to 3 different ski shops to see if anybody could get the lenses to fit, and still couldn't get them completely snapped in. Despite lens issues, the frames are much larger than previous models such as crowbar frames. I like the extra peripheral view, and they didn't interfere with my helmet.

    Simply bigger and better

    Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

The new Oakley Canopy rocks. It big and oversized with no extra gimmicks. It fits so well on a regular to bigger sized face because it wraps so far around. For its snow it still fits flush with my helmet. After wearing it I put my Splice and Crowbar back on and couldn't believe how small the field of vision felt in comparison to the Canopy. The wide open vision is so good I don't think I cold wear anything else. The pink iridium lense is my favorite for all conditions in the NW.

    Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Oakley brought out the big guns and built their largest frame to date, the Canopy. Maybe its the size and it sat lower on my cheeks or that it seems closer to my face, I don't know but it just felt different. The optics were great and by the time I was skiing I appreciated the larger field of vision. Pretty sure I will have to retire my Splices now. For anyone else who wears a helmet this is the best fitting, most compatible Oakley I have worn with mine.

    Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

The biggest reason I bought these goggles is because I wear glasses. I know it may seem weird, but I have a pair of light weight glasses I use for most sports. Ironically, they are also made by Oakley. These goggles fit over them perfectly and still offer an amazing field of view.

The only fogging experience I've had is with my own glasses, but the goggles have never fogged on me once!

If you can get your hands on these I highly recommend it.

          Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Great goggles! I purchased the Rocked out Blue Frame with Hi Persimmon lens and also the fire Iridium lens. The lenses are great as you know if you've ever owned an Oakley goggle. They are extremely easy to swap out and get back into the frame. They look great even on very cold days fog isn't an issue. I purposely have tried to fog them exhaling upward and nothing in my view. I also rock a popular Smith Maze helmet and they look like they had been made for each other (no presser or gap on my forehead or bridge of my nose). The view is up there with any of the oversized goggles on the market right now.

            Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Of the many goggles I've used, this is by far the best. Massive field of view but doesn't feel like other oversized goggles when its on your face because of how the nose is made. Fits with every helmet I've tried it with over and under the helmet. Definitely make sure to grab an extra lens or two for different conditions. Although there is no quick release lens system, the lenses are relatively easy to change out. I have never had an issue with Oakley goggles logging up in hot conditions. Overall 10/10 would buy this if you need a new goggle, there is a reason that Oakley is the most well known goggle maker in the industry, and the Canopy is the best goggle in their line for someone with a medium-large face.

These goggles are awesome! Straight up! They are a very simple design with everything you would ever need. The large frame gives you great peripheral vision without having to be obnoxiously big.

I have a large nose so it's hard for me to find a comfortable fitting pair of goggles that don't allow a gap near the bridge of my nose. The triple layer foam definitely prevents that! My girlfriend is the complete opposite and these goggles fit great on her too!

I would highly recommend these to anyone and especially from evo because you will not find a better deal!

Unfortunately I got these after the end of the season but having owned/ridden wearing Crowbars and A-Frames for the past 6 years I can say that the increased field of vision the Canopys have is going to make riding this winter awesome. These goggles let you see everything below nose level so you can spot bumps/ruts/chop without having to tilt your head down at all. Though perephial appears to be the same.

                    Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Fit and field of view were important concerns for me when looking for new goggles to replace my old Smith Fuze. Most either had poor field of view (like the Oakley Airbrake), or didn't seal properly around my nose (Smith I/O(X)).

The Canopy provides great side and upward vision. Downward vision is merely good; much better than the Airbrake, but not quite as good as the EG2. On the other hand, the fit (for me) isn't as perfect as the Airbrake, but it still seals well around my nose when it's actually strapped on.

Another pro is wide selection of lenses. I went with a Hi Persimmon (63% VLT) for cloudy/stormy/flat light conditions, and Blue Iridium (30% VLT) for sunny to mostly cloudy conditions. One thing I don't like is that you're forced to buy from a limited selection of frame/lens combinations. It would be nice if you could pick whatever frame you want, and then pick one or two lenses to go with it (though this isn't Evo's fault).

Lastly, I wish these had a quick-change lens feature, though I knew that going in. I had trouble finding a goggle with a quick-change lens system that also met my fit, field of view, and lens requirements, so I had to sacrifice that feature.

I just got these goggles and have only skied with them once, but they're incredible. The day I went skiing, the weather changed from quite overcast to bright sun, and they worked very well in the full spectrum. I had an old, cheap pair of goggles before, so the difference was perhaps starker, but I was able to see all of the texture variances in the snow, as well as the terrain, quite clearly. I also wear medium-sized glasses, and these goggles fit wonderfully over them. I do have a larger-than-normal head, and these fit wonderfully.

I got these goggles as my previous one fogged up like crazy - first day on the mountain - and these puppies are fogging up even more.
                    bummer!

I gave them 2 stars and not one due to the fact that in temps above 32 they are super clear.

I use this primarily as my night time goggles. (Bought a separate clear lens).

These goggles have a very large field of vision compared to the Oakley Splice's I was previously using. Lens changes are very easy.

Didn't have any fogging issues after the first 5 hours of riding in a snow storm or in low temps.

Same great quality I've come to expect from all of Oakley's other products.

                    Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Goggles are enormous. These goggles would work if you're the ghost of Sleepy Hollow, but for humans, the canopy's are WAY too big. They're even too big for people who wear glasses and are looking for a goggle to fit comfortably around their spectacles. The lens on the Canopy (Copper Black with Persimmon) are also lousy. Not yellow enough to pick out details and not dark enough to adequately shade on brighter cloudy days. Bought into the Oakley brand, but these just blow. Now wonder they're cheap. Returning them...

I have 6 pairs of Oakley's from M series, Crowbar, Canopy and a few others- these are the best for the money. They are big but fit nicely on my med size head- I thought they might be to big when I purchased but they fit snugly and the optics are the best. If you just can't justify the flight decks, try these- they are a nice alt.

I have two pairs of canopy googles - one for snowboarding and one for winter mtb. Love that I can wear these over my glasses and never fog up! I have struggled with every other pair of goggles but these seem to vent exceptionally well and are super comfortable even over my slightly oversized glasses.

I bought the Aberdeen White Blue/Prizm Sapphire. I own the Oakley Airbrake and A-Frame. Both are great well made goggles. However, the peripheral vision of Canopy surpasses both. I wore this pair of Canopy goggles during sunny spring condition at Mt Hood Meadows, and it was perfect!

FYI the Blue Sapphire lens is incredibly stylish and gives a darker rose color hue when seeing through them.

I would buy this again for sure!
