The new Oakley Canopy rocks. It big and oversized with no extra gimmicks. It fits so well on a regular to bigger sized face because it wraps so far around. For its snow it still fits flush with my helmet. After wearing it I put my Splice and Crowbar back on and couldn't believe how small the field of vision felt in comparison to the Canopy. The wide open vision is so good I don't think I cold wear anything else. The pink iridium lense is my favorite for all conditions in the NW.

    Canopy

    Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Oakley brought out the big guns and built their largest frame to date, the Canopy. Maybe its the size and it sat lower on my cheeks or that it seems closer to my face, I don't know but it just felt different. The optics were great and by the time I was skiing I appreciated the larger field of vision. Pretty sure I will have to retire my Splices now. For anyone else who wears a helmet this is the best fitting, most compatible Oakley I have worn with mine.

      Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Great goggles! I purchased the Rocked out Blue Frame with Hi Persimmon lens and also the fire Iridium lens. The lenses are great as you know if you've ever owned an Oakley goggle. They are extremely easy to swap out and get back into the frame. They look great even on very cold days fog isn't an issue. I purposely have tried to fog them exhaling upward and nothing in my view. I also rock a popular Smith Maze helmet and they look like they had been made for each other (no presser or gap on my forehead or bridge of my nose). The view is up there with any of the oversized goggles on the market right now.

"Oversize" goggles are the way to go

            Comments about Oakley Canopy Goggles:

Fit and field of view were important concerns for me when looking for new goggles to replace my old Smith Fuze. Most either had poor field of view (like the Oakley Airbrake), or didn't seal properly around my nose (Smith I/O(X)).

The Canopy provides great side and upward vision. Downward vision is merely good; much better than the Airbrake, but not quite as good as the EG2. On the other hand, the fit (for me) isn't as perfect as the Airbrake, but it still seals well around my nose when it's actually strapped on.

Another pro is wide selection of lenses. I went with a Hi Persimmon (63% VLT) for cloudy/stormy/flat light conditions, and Blue Iridium (30% VLT) for sunny to mostly cloudy conditions. One thing I don't like is that you're forced to buy from a limited selection of frame/lens combinations. It would be nice if you could pick whatever frame you want, and then pick one or two lenses to go with it (though this isn't Evo's fault).

Lastly, I wish these had a quick-change lens feature, though I knew that going in. I had trouble finding a goggle with a quick-change lens system that also met my fit, field of view, and lens requirements, so I had to sacrifice that feature.

Love the fit and got them with the H.I. Persimmon lense (just right for low/medium light).
