I got this glove for skiing in Montana and it worked great. The wrist tether works great never had to worry about losing it on the lift. The only down side it's not the best in extreme cold. I would say 0-30 degrees would be the ideal temperature for this glove, any colder the glove doesn't hold up to well.

Not good

By

from Princeton, NJ

Comments about The North Face Montana Gloves:

I bought these for winter driving and general purpose use. I am disappointed in that they are curved and I cannot put my fingers straight if I want to because of the shape of the gloves. Secondly, if you live in an area where the weather is 10-30 degrees and you use these for general purpose use such as driving or walking, you might find them too warm and sweaty. I think they are more for people who work in Antarctica. Or if you want to use them for hand digging snow, may be. I sent them back.

    Disappointment

    By

    from Boston

Comments about The North Face Montana Gloves:

Purchased the gloves for myself for the New England winters...wore 2x and had to return them. For $70, I expected them to keep my hands warm...they did that...but not my finger tips. Both times the temp was mid-20's and my fingers were on the verge of frostbite.
The $20 Costco brand I purchased prior to these, where thinner and kept my finger tips warmer. I'll be forced to keep searching for a better pair.

    Waste of money!

    By

Comments about The North Face Montana Gloves:

These are the worst gloves I have ever purchased. Anything below freezing temps and my hands are frozen. I own several North Face coats and snow pants and I love them all, but these gloves are not up to North Face standards. I am very disappointed!

      Great Glove

      By

      from RI

Comments about The North Face Montana Gloves:

I have 4 pairs of these and I'm glad to see that the cuff has been extended again. I have an old version with a long cuff and 2 newer ones where the cuff is shorter. I like having the longer cuff to stay in place. Solid construction. Like the new band to hold the glove when I take it off. I never even use The North Face liners with theses gloves. They keep my hands plenty warm when I'm skiing.

      Great gloves

      By

Comments about The North Face Montana Gloves:

These gloves are warm, water proof and because of the cuffs you can't loose them . I bought these for my highly active teenage son,who looses everything. During the winter he shovels snow to make spending money, but always lost a glove here and there. But like the surfboards and his boogie boards thesestay with you . Innovative and ingenious ! Worth every penny!
