I just received these gloves in the mail; although it has been sixty-degree weather all week and I haven't had an opportunity to use them on the mountain, I was so impressed with the quality of the gloves that I had to write this review. I was originally looking for mittens but after not finding any brands / styles that offered the features I wanted (in my size) I decided to look at gloves. I settled on POW after reading the overwhelming amount of positive praise circulating about them in online snowsport communities. I have to say, they are by far the most comfortable gloves I have ever put on. The feel and warmth of them seem of such high-quality that I have no interest of ever wearing them with the liners (although the liners are quality themselves, they just dont seem necessary to me). My biggest concern when I was buying these gloves was the style / color. The "natural leather" really was not ideal to me, but EVO was by far the cheapest source to buy the Assault and it was all they had in my size. After seeing them in person, the photos really do not do them justice, the tone of the leather is much more pleasing to the eyes then the stock photos lead you to believe. They also come with a packet of NikWax Leather Conditioner which was a nice bonus.I stand full heartedly behind my recommendation for these gloves - if you are considering cheaper options in hopes of saving some money, trust me when I say that you should spend the extra bucks and get a pair that will last you for the next couple years. My only warning to prospective buyers is that if you are shopping around for the cheapest price - be aware that many sites sell the past-season model of these gloves for cheaper, but they are the non-GORE-TEX version. Only the newer models are GORE-TEX, and obviously if you care about waterproofing or you have any knowledge of snowsport gear, you wouldn't buy anything else.

i got these for christmas and unfortunately it really hasnt been cold enough to use them but i had to take them off several times on a night it was 7 degress, really warm, and gore tex is always as water proof as can be, updates to come on durability
