I love most Northface products. They are stylish, warm, durable, and come with a lifetime warranty against defects. This jacket is great for Pacific Northwest winter, or if you live in colder climates, would be great for milder winter weather or fall. The fit was great, I have rather long arms so I usually have a tough time finding jackets that aren't slightly too short in the sleeves. I must not have read the description too well because I was surprised to see a faint flower design all over the fabric when I opened the package. I don't generally wear all over patterns, especially not flowery ones, but it's so faint you can't really see it unless you're up close and it mostly looks solid black. Wasn't a deal breaker for me. The only other gripe I have about the jacket is that it smelled really bad right out of the packaging. Not bad like foul, but bad like brand new smelling. I had to wash it a few times to get rid of the smell. All in all though, an awesome jacket.
