This isn't your everyday run-of-the-mill duffel. The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag is built to endure the harshest of conditions, whether that's the Lhotse Face on Everest, torrential down-pours or sub-zero temperatures, you name it. This bomb proof bag can be tossed around the airport, hauled up a mountain via a yak, or slung over your shoulder like a backpack. Versatility is this duffel's middle name; don't go on another trip without it.

Comments about The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag - Small:
I used this duffel for a 2 week trip to Europe (Paris, Barcelona and Iceland on the way home). This duffel is durable and it is big enough to use for travel this long if you pack smart (roll your clothes, expect to repeat outfits, etc.) That being said, I didn't have to repeat that much, outside of socks and underwear (washed of course!). The compression straps really give you wiggle room when it comes to carry-on size requirements. It fit perfectly in the upper compartments on al flights we took, though none of the flights were small planes (3 across on each side). The bag is durable and the straps are easy to adjust.
The only con about this bag is that there are no other pockets or areas except the duffel and the netting on the upper flap. This really can be enough but it would be helpful to have maybe a smaller pocket on the inside somewhere for smaller items, rather than having to put them in a bulkier bag to fit in the duffel. But really, you can totally make it work. My bag weighed about 20-22lbs while traveling which was heavy so I have some concerns about how long the straps will last. I won't know the result until I continue to utilize the bag though!
