Is the plastic bag the worst thing adversely affecting our environment? Probably not. However it is very important because of its ubiquitous nature. Nearly all of us use them -- all the time. Pervasive and out of control, it is a powerful symbol of consumerism gone wild. By raising awareness of this issue we hope to make the act of mindlessly consuming plastic bags uncool.

We act as a grassroots organization enabling consumers to change the status quo, and feel good in the process. We accomplish this by:

1. Educating and raising awareness; providing news from around the world, facts and images showing how things have gotten out of control AND what is being done to change and improve the situation.
2. Empowering people to take action and spread the word with sensible ideas and tools.
3. Offering an outstanding selection of high-quality reusable shopping bags and other smart, sustainable products enabling people to consume less.

We believe that by offering these three key elements that close the loop we can help move mainstream society away from this bad habit. There is a better way.
