As should be the case with any true General Store, beyond products, the web site is an information source and clearinghouse for any ideas to make the environment cleaner and more sustainable and the people in it calmer, more serene and more at peace with themselves and the world around them.

We are committed to being in a central downtown area to allow optimum access via public transportation. An important part of our mission is local and national activism on Environmental issues. Mama's Earth is very active in the community, spearheading such things as town-wide litter clean ups and "Trash Walks", annual Earth Day celebrations, textile recycling drives and establishing a committee to improve recycling among local businesses.

Our primary commitments are to the environment and our customers.
