I bought this backpack to replace a backpack that was nearing 10 years old. I realize you can't really compare backpacks built a decade apart, but this backpack really is fantastic. I'm an engineering student so I haul my computer and a myriad of cables and snacks and notebooks to class everyday. This backpack holds it all very nicely, keeping the bulk of its mass close to your body so it's easy to manage. I only wish that when I fill up the outer waterproof zippered pocket with keys and a phone and other little things, it didn't affect the holding capacity of the inner sections as much (but I probably just shouldn't put as much as I do in that pocket). That aside, this backpack is a comfortable delight to wear. It's compressible, it's well-built, it protects my computer well, it withstands impromptu rain showers, it has lots of pockets without being overly cluttered. It's worth the money.
