The Black Diamond Revelation Avalung Pack is the perfect size for serious day touring and just might buy you some time should you be unfortunate enough to be buried in an avalanche while you're out. The new and improved AvaLung System exports carbon dioxide to a rear pack corner away from your face and imports fresh oxygen-laden air from a bi-valve intake box on the shoulder strap. All this in a fully-featured, anatomically fit pack with easy access top zip.

    Great fit.Tall enough for me at 5'11" and for larger friends who liked the fit. Comfortable to ski and hike.

    Needs more pockets so things don't end up at the bottom. They should have a few pockets on the side whether they are built in or zipper lets you into the pack area. Also, and cheaper, they could simply have a couple of sleeves sewn into the interior.

    Fabric surprisingly ripped during first week of use. Must have been from ducking under agree; however, I never felt it catch on anything.

    It seems that the availing mouthpiece doesn't stay rigid where you put it as well as older avalung mouthpieces?

    Goggle pocket is inside and my Smith goggles bind against other stuff ion side. Would not work if the pack was very full.

    Overall, add some more pockets and put the goggle pocket on theoutside of the helmet carrier and it would be dream pack.
