      Comments about Ortovox S1 Scanner 2.1 Avalanche Transceiver:

      I practice avalanche searches with it. Haven't had to use it in a real life search but hopefully I'll never have to.

      I use to have an Ortovox M2, but that depended on good hearing. When I am walking around on snow, with wind, I don't hear that well, and it stresses me out.

      So I got this the year it came out and have gotten an upgrade since then to the 2.0 actually. I feel more confident going out in the backcountry with my friends because I KNOW that I would find them in the event of a slide.
