The Salomon Guardian 13 Large Alpine Touring Bindings are a new model for 2014, filling the needs of skiers who don't need 16 DIN holding power. Equally adept at downhill skiing in the area or touring to remote locations, the Guardian 13 gives you the performance advantages of low stack height, solid Salomon alpine performance, and a walk/ski latch that's easily reachable with your ski pole and without taking your skis off.

Hike and Ride Switch – Easy to access switch allows going from ski to walk mode without taking off your skis, using just the tip of your pole.
Oversized Platform – 80 mm wide platform under the toe for superior performance with wide skis
WTR Compatibility – WTR (Walk to Ride) compatibility allows you to use any Salomon WTR sole or any ISO Alpine sole.
Simplified Base Plate – Clean design under the toe reduces snow buildup during skinning.
Strengthened Rigidity – Wide baseplate design combined with specially shaped connecting bars improves edge-to-edge power transmission.
Low Stand Height – 26 mm stand height for better snow feel and increased power transmission
Boot Sole Compatibility – The Large fits boot sole lengths 305-360 mm.
Ski Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
