Tecnica Phoenix 120 HVL Ski Boots 2013

The 2013 Tecnica Pheonix 120 HVL (High Volume Last) Ski Boots is designed for those advanced, expert or professional skiers that have that extra wide, hard to fit foot. The stiff flex won't buckle under the pressure of strong skiers. Cuff alignment, a removable rear spoiler and other adjustments allow personalization to dial in the fit and performance. No longer do wide footers have to sacrifice comfort to get high performance.

Cuff Alignment - The cuff alignment system is easy to use and effective. It aligns the cuff to follow the shape of the lower leg increasing comfort and enhancing performance. Dual cuff alignment (inside and outside devices) increases the effectiveness.
3 Position Catches - The cuff catches can be easily moved to fit varying leg shapes. The positioning catches have a range of 44 mm, 22 mm forward and 22 mm back, and can be moved using the tool provided in the box.

      I am really happy with the fit and performance of this boot. This a high performance boot with relatively stiff flex (120) for advanced or expert skiers with wide feet. In the past, I have had problems finding wide enough boots and have had to resort to wearing a larger shell size or getting the shell "punched-out". It does have adjustments for standard or increased flex, and lateral camber. However, it lacks adjustment for forward cant.

      overall fit was good for my wide feet, except instep height is tight with my high arches. I was almost unable to latch second buckle at longest setting.
