Fit

Contour 4 Shell-FitExclusive Dalbello construction technology that maps the anatomical contours of the foot to create subtle "comfort zones" at 4 critical foot points: ankle, heel, 5th metatarsal & navicular. Relief contours molded into the inside lower shell at these 4 points provide a close and accurate fit and minimize the need for shell modifications.

Low Contour Geometry CuffDalbello women’s model inner boot cuffs and rear spoilers are 0.5 cm - 1.5 cm (depending on model) lower than men’s cuffs. Low contour profile geometry cuffs are engineered to close comfortably and easily around a wide variety of women’s lower leg shapes and sizes.

Last: 98 mmPerformance fitting cabrio design last shape in all KR 2 models features extreme tapering in rearfoot and achille’s zones with comfort fit forefoot volume. Dalbello’s most accurate and close fitting anatomic last shape features innovative Contour 4 fit technology.

Flex

Flex: 115A very stiff 115 Flex "B" tongue for skiers that demand the utmost control and response from a ski boot.

Kinetic Response TongueHighly resilient polyamide (nylon), flex ribbed tongue design stays in total contact with the leg throughout flex for improved responsiveness and control. Interchangeable design.

Adjustable FlexThanks to a modular insert applied between shell and cuff, you will get 3 different degrees of flexion.

Switchable TonguesHighly resilient polyamide (nylon), flex ribbed tongue design stays in total contact with the leg throughout flex for improved responsiveness and control. Interchangeable design.

Liner

I.D. KR Kryzma LinerNo-Tongue Overlapping Design // Factory Pre-Formed for step in // 100% Custom Heat Moldable Ultralon® EVA Foam // High Density HD Monoblock

Shell Materials & Design

3-Piece Cabrio Design ArchitectureCabrio Design ski boots are uniquely engineered to incorporate 3 components: the lower shell, upper cuff and, and external shell tongue. This permits the use of stiffer plastics in the lower shell without affecting the smooth and progressive forward flex that's controlled with the shell tongue. This design strengthens the support around the foot for precise lateral transfer of power. Overall the advantage is smoother power transmission, progressive flex and dynamic rebound. Plus the boot is super convenient to put on and take off.

Bi-Injected CuffTwo different density materials fused into one structure to combine power (hard) with comfort and a convenient entry (soft).

Shell / Cuff / TonguePU (Polyurethane) / PU Bi-Injected / PA (Polyamide)

Stance

Dynamically Balanced StanceToday’s modern rockered skis and lateral skiing technique require a much more upright and neutral (flatter) stance. Rocker Stance allows skiers of all stripes to take full advantage of their equipment by centering their body mass over the sweet spot of their skis for more power and control with less effort. Easy turn initiation with no slide, feel the ski length, maintain edge pressure for better control.

Shaft Alignment (Twin Canting)The lateral orientation of the cuff in relation to the lower shell can be angled to match the angle of the skier’s lower leg when standing.

Adjustable Forward LeanTo change KR2 forward inclination angle, Forward Lean control wedges may be insert at boot rear between lower shell and cuff. Wedges are secured to rear shell with a 3mm Hex Head Screw. Two different FL inserts: KR models with 4 mm insert = 11° (stock) KR models with 8 mm insert = 13° (in box)

Buckles

Dynalink Rearfoot RetentionInstep buckles are linked to the shell in a direct line with the heel pocket for a highly effective rear foot closure system that minimizes foot sliding, heel lift and boot shell distortion.

Inverted Forefoot BuckleForefoot closure buckles (above instep) are inverted to close on top of the boot shell, not on the side. The top closure positioning prevents buckle breakage and bending during rail slides, grinds, falls, and transitions.

3 Micro Adjustable F-16 Aluminum buckles (1 Inverted)

Power Strap

Dalbello Kr 2 Kryzma ID Ski Boots do indeed have a power strap.

Sole

Solid Lug Boot SoleSpecific design of the boot sole for a better energy transfer.

Additional Features

Switchable FootboardsSolid Lug Footboard: Sole construction for power energy transmission and unmatched sensitivity and ski feel. // Landing Gear Footboard: For enhanced shock absorption on big air landings or on hard snow surfaces. Landing Gear footboard is a full length vibration absorbing urethane innerboot platform that is positioned inside the boot shell under the foot. Closed cell construction will not compress or lose its shock absorbing properties.

Low Cuff Hinge PointHigh leverage cuff assembly with hinge points mounted approximately 10 cm lower than standard construction boot designs. The Low Cuff Hinge Point permits the boot cuff to more easily follow the natural movement of the skier’s legs because it has a longer range of forward and rearward hinging motion.
