Incorporating a number of changes designed to improve leverage and power transmission, especially with wider skis, the Salomon STH2 16 Ski Bindings feature longer toe arms, a 3D Driver toe pivot much like their predecessor, and a wide platform heel taken from the Guardian AT binding. If you're already familiar with the STH16 Driver, get ready for the new King of the Sandbox - the Salomon STH2 16 is ready to take over and dominate the playground. Note: The mounting pattern is different from the old model STH, and brakes are not swappable between these models. Compatible with all ISO Alpine soles and all Salomon WTR sole blocks.
XL Wings – New longer toepiece wings provide superior lateral power transmission, better centering and easier step in in powder.
Micro Simultaneous Wing Adjustment – Toe wings adjust with a simple screw.
3D Driver Toe – Salomon's trademark Driver Toe delivers the burl where you need it.
+Elastic Travel – Superior elastic travel gives you a chance to ski out of that situation until you really need it to release.
Manual Toe Height Adjustment
XL Stomp Pedal – A fixed, wide pedal under your boot gives you optimal power transmission.
Wide Platform – A 73 mm wide platform under the toepiece ensures maximum power transfer with wide skis.
Heel Flex Interface – This feature allows your ski to flex naturally underfoot while keeping you and your bindings connected.
WTR Technology – This binding is compatible with all ISO Alpine soles and Salomon WTR (Walk-to-Ride) touring and tech soles.
Progressive Transfer Pads – Pads under the binding base enhance feel and increase dampening.
Low Profile Chassis – Low stand height for increased terrain feedback and enhanced power transmission.
Freeski Brakes – The new design features enhanced deployment for wide skis and a new mounting system without the traditional metal tabs and no screws. Freeski brakes are not compatible with older STH heels.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
