Rossignol FKS 140 XXL Ski Bindings (115mm Brakes) 2013

The most trusted binding in alpine skiing is back. The Rossignol FKS 140 XXL Ski Bindings feature bombproof construction and deliver better retention and prevention of pre-release than any binding on the market. FKS bindings feature 7-points of boot contact giving superior control, response and snow feel. Skiers have less concern with pre-release due to the longest elastic travel on the market. The heelpiece rotates with the boot directly under the tibia to give more consistent, reliable and manageable release. The Dual Action toepiece has 180 degree multi-directional release with high vertical and lateral elastic travel to provide shock absorption, further reducing inadvertent release. Using the shortest mounting zone possible, the FKS allows deeper, rounder, more consistent ski flexing, turning, floating and smearing. The Rossignol FKS 140 XXL Ski Bindings feature a 115 mm brake and provide the most reliable, durable and performance-oriented construction available for aggressive freeskiers.

Comments about Rossignol FKS 140 XXL Ski Bindings (115mm Brakes) 2013:

Absolutely incredible bindings that wont let go when you need them to stay on. I have my din set to 8.5 and I feel like i can hit any feature and not have to worry about pre-releases. I will be putting this binding on all of my future skis, twin tip or not. Only downside I can think of is that the paint chips really easily.

Comments about Rossignol FKS 140 XXL Ski Bindings (115mm Brakes) 2013:

Excellent retention. I've been using Marker and Fritschi AT bindings for both in-bounds and backcountry skiing for the past few years thinking the retention of these bindings would be "good enough" inbounds. Well after too many premature outs I've finally concluded that I prefer a high quality alpine binding for inbounds/cat etc. I'm using a dynafit setup for backcountry now. For comparison I was running my Marker Barons at +1 DIN over the FKS and the FKS still hold me in better than the Barons esp in the heel when skiing hard in deep snow. In the end, when using a binding for multiple applications there will be compromises and you have to decide whether those compromises are working for you - if you want a no-compromise alpine bindings the FKS will not disappoint.

Comments about Rossignol FKS 140 XXL Ski Bindings (115mm Brakes) 2013:

I mounted these up on a pair of Fischer Mavens. They are super buttery and these bindings did not create a dead spot and really allowed the ski to flex. They are a bomb proof binding. I put them through the ringer at big sky and they held up just fine. I loved the amount of travel they have. Only con is the paint is not very durable.

These are by far some of the best bindings I've used. Over the past 5 years I've gone through 4 bindings and these definitely put out. Constructed extremely well these bindings are sure to please. I would definitely try these out.
